April The Young Eight is performing on April 7, 2007, 6PM at the Colors Northwest Sixth Anniversary, Seattle Center's 'Experience Music Project.' Location: 325 5th Avenue North Seattle, WA. Program: TBA The Young Eight is performing their Chamber Music Concert at Meany Hall at University of Washington, Seattle, WA on April 18, 2007. UW World Series: The Young Eight Program: Mendelssohn String Octet in E-flat major, George Walker's Lyric for Strings, World Premiere of Young Eight Emerging Composer Competition Winner Dr. Robert Tanner's Conch Shell Memories for String Octet, Select hip-hop quartets, New string octet by Grammy Award Winner Patrice Rushen. The Young Eight will perform a Family Night Concert at T.T. Minor Elementry School, Seattle, WA on April 20, 2007 at 6:30pm. Program: Saint-Georges Symphonie Concertante for Two Violins, Vivaldi Concerto for Four Violins and other orchestral pieces with students from the Seattle Public Schools and The Young Eight. May The Young Eight will feature an Evening with the Artistic Director, Quinton I. Morris on May 19, 2007, 8PM. Special Guests: Indra Thomas, soprano and Byron Schenkman, piano. Ilsley Ball Nordstrom Recital Hall, Benaroya Hall - Home of Seattle Symphony, Seattle, WA. Program: Beethoven Sonata no. 6 in A major, Still's Suite for Violin and Piano, Solo violin pieces by composers Michael DePaul and Quinton I.
